Safari 97 is a family-owned specialty coffee company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, run by brothers Joe and Shem. Coffee comes directly from Kenyan farmers and the Nairobi Coffee Exchange, is roasted in small batches in Calgary, and every bag gets tasting notes in plain language.

Small-batch roasted specialty coffee sourced from Kenya, with Burundi next. Available as a one-time bag purchase or a recurring subscription (every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks). Every bag ships whole bean.

How we describe coffee

Every bag gets one plain-language sentence (what it tastes like) and three single-word tags: First Sip, Middle, After. No cupping jargon. Words you would use standing at a kettle, not a cupping table.
